| Easy-Spred® for Masonry |
Easy-Spred® will help extend mortar's board-life, reduce early stage drying and shrinkage of mortar joints, improve workability, and enhance tooling of mortar joints without sacrificing the mortar's compressive or bond strengths. Easy-Spred® can be used as an admixture or as a full or partial lime replacement. Generally, if used as an admixture, Easy-Spred® should be added at a dosage rate of approximately 2% by weight of the cement in order to achieve the above-mentioned benefits. If using as a full or partial lime replacement in a Portland Cement/Lime mix, one seven (7) pound bag of Easy-Spred® will replace one fifty (50) pound bag of lime. All Building Code Services (ICC-ES, SBBCI-ES, BOCA-ES) recognize Easy-Spred® as an alternative to hydrated lime in masonry mortars.
